We are looking forward to the energy, inspiration, and fuel for our artistry! We would like to thank Katie Thompson and Jordan Dehline Burt, both Missoula-based MDAA members, for doing a fabulous job managing all the details. Remember, in addition to the phenomenal instruction in Workshop classes, the Spring Workshop also includes Scholarship Auditions!

Friday Night Dance Performance: ELa FaLa

The School of Theatre and Dance is thrilled to bring ELa FaLa Collective to the Dennison Theatre on the UM campus on Friday, April 5. This exciting all-female dance company—joined by seven current UM dance majors—will delight Missoula audiences for one performance only. ELa FaLa (which means “she speaks” in Portuguese) seeks to create bridges between art, technology, spirituality, culture, education, and science through a holistic vision of the world. Under the artistic direction of Barbara Lima, the Collective highlights and bolsters communication between these different communities of thought and discovers the many forms of medicine of their interaction. Their first work was born in 2015 as a co-produced dance for camera in partnership with Urban Body Project.
